Children enrolled in school generally* must be 3 years old by October 1st and completely toilet trained. We limit the total school enrollment to 27 children each day. We have a smaller total student enrollment on M, W, F especially W, F. The school does require a 1 month tuition deposit, which is non-refundable after March 1st. This deposit is applied to the very last month your child attends school. Unlike most Montessori schools, you may be released from your contract, as long as you give the school a 30-day notice and, in that instance, the school would use your deposit money as the final month's tuition payment. You are not required to pledge time, money, or material to the school, as in most other Montessori schools. *Sometimes I will enroll a younger child (must be at least 2 years 6 months) who may participate in Montessori work and all student activities. This option is for full day students only. The average staff/child ratio is 1 staff member to every 6-8 children. The academic class time and Montessori work time ratio is as follows:
Kindergarten class meets on M/T/Th. Children who need to attend school 4 or 5 days per week may do so. There is a one time kindergarten materials fee of $200, which is due with September's tuition.
Compare out staff/child ratio, above, with the New Jersey State Minimum Guidelines. Unfortunately most nursery schools and learning centers accept these minimum standards.
